** Green Filters Direct Induction Kit. = £102.89
** 4-1 MANIFOLD = £ 338.23

Not many places remap the standard ECU so you would need to factor in the cost for a standalone ECU..

Oh yeah and cambelt kit which is another £100. You would also need trolley jack and axle stands if you don't have them as well as the tools to carry the work out but those are more of an investment.

"Would this improve performance"
Yes it would a fair bit, although a 4-2-1 manifold would be better suited, and what exhaust system have you got?

The most popular exhaust system is probably the Supersprint 2" race system and the supersprint 4-2-1 manifold off kam Racing. Not the cheapest of exhasut systems but the gains are good and the sound is awsome. Also it's stainless steel so has good longetivity

personally i'd just go for the cams and a remap straight away .. looking at about 150 bhp just from that and even more if you go standalone ECU

LMFAO if i was you buddy id buy the filter and manifold 2nd hand and buy a decat and a catnack system and a flywheel if you want to see power upgrades that whay you could work
** Green Filters Direct Induction Kit. = £30
** 4-1 MANIFOLD = £ 150
** Newman PH3 Fast Road Camshafts - Citroen Saxo VTS = £352.50
** Remap = N/A
Decat £30
Catback system £150
Flywheel £150
dont forget camshafts need a remap (500) and a cambelt change in order to use which if your not very good may land u with another 200 bill.
tbh if i was u id go
BMC direct induction
P&p TB
not much power gains maybe 7 max but a vts engine is quick and with a catback system and mani ull have a great sound and possibly a extra 8 ponys to add to a collection

You mean a lightened flywheel? They DON'T increase engine BHP output at all. Also 7bhp off a BMC and a ported and polished throttle body? More like 2-3 from the BMC and none from the p&p throttle body.

hello mate ive got the a 51 plate mk2 vts... i would strongly advise a 4-2-1 manifold with stainless exhaust with decat sounds the nuts and has gained a bit of power also induction to start with pipercross is a good one.... these would prob be the two things to start off with not to expensive if you shop around obviously at good quality
then start thinking about the more indepth stuff and dont get a remap until last.
my vts was rolling roaded at 143BHP november last year since then ive had a complete head rebuild an have noticed a good difference with the way the car runs.
But to get the 143BHP before the head rebuild its had 4-2-1 mani, custom stainless exhaust decat, induction kit, ported and polished head (gas blasted), and couple other small bits all this took it to that figure. so this is a good start before you think about cams etc

Can't remember what the name is but there's a place in Hadleigh Essex that does remaps for saxo's which is nearish to you. Just over £200 i believe..

yeah it has improved the performance of my car as long as its done properly and gas bored rather than just air cos it clears the the pipe out more thorough, you do notice the difference but not excessively if that makes sense.

Yes throttle response is improved which helps performance in a way, but not actual power gains

Best mod I have is a full milltek and 4-2-1 it's unbeleivable how much torque and power I felt immediatly as it was back in my hands, should dyno the car before I consider getting cammed and see how much I gained, very expensive exhaust but worth the price, on the plus side, only a handful have the milltek so you won't hear a saxo alike it
