Default Cambelt info needed

I got a saxo 1.4 furio its done 100,4000 mile. I brought it in June last year and it had 89k bit the owner said he hadn't replaced it, but didn't know if the owner before him had it done, also its got oil around the crank shaft seal what do ya reckon?

get it repalced mate, furio belts needa be changed every 75,000 miles.. if it snaps then it's alota money to fork out

depends where you go mate, if you do it yourself then probly about 20 quid lol.. at a garage probly 150-200 ?? piece of piss to do mate

we charge £100 supplied and fitted for Gates timing belt and tensioner

Yeah get it changed if i were you, look through your service history and see if its in there.
I had a mobile mechanic come to me and did it all for £100

you wanna get the waterpump done aswell really, only costs about another 20 quid and it's worth it in the long run, if your water pump ever went then they gotta do all the cambelt again anyway !

i dnt get why people try to save by not replacing the cambelt, if unsure just get it replace for peace of mind!

Exactly !!! whats the point of not doing it and spending like £100 when it'll cost probly tripple to get a new engine if your breaks and even more to get the head done.

I just paid £170 for the belt, tensioner and water pump to be changed if that helps, on a VTR though
