Default which vtr engine do i need?

my vtr x plate engine has seized due to oil not getting down to the bottom end,
ive found there are 3 different engines for the vtr and mine is
the 3 stud ecu 98bhp model with cat on mainfold and dipstick on the left.
and i want to know if i have to replace it with an identicle 98bhp one with the cat on the maifold, because i dont want to have to fanny about with the wiring loom etc,
or can i just put litterally the engine block of the other silver topped vtr engine (the 90bhp, 1 plug ecu, cat underneith, dipstick on the right), straight in with my inlet mainifold, coilpack, ( i know the down pipe wont fit and will have to use the one of the car it came of),

could any one help me please

im sure some one will just tell me there is already a forum for this, if so let me know where it is and i will remove this one thank you
