Default Vtr Died

yesterday i took my front panel because i thought there was something wrong with my electrical connections in my cigarette lighter so i took it off disconnected everything like heater and hazard lights etc then whilst the front panel was still of i wanted to go to a mates so i tried to start it up but it just kept dyin on me just wouldn't start bearing in mind that it started fine half hour before so i don't know whether its got something to do with me taking the front panel of and disconnectin and causing the car to arm the Immobiliser i just don't know can anyone help me out ?

no luck ..
it has been tickin over a lot lately,
I wonder whether its starter motor or altenator cause my interior lights dim a lot?

batterys relatively new and doesn't the immobiliser stay on for 24 hours without starting up
