Default Strange vibration at motorway speeds

Ok heres the crack,
I was driving home last week when I noticed my car started to shake at low speeds and even worse as i started to speed up, so I pulled over to have a look i could'nt see anything obvious so I slowly drove home probably around 2 miles.
The next day I jacked the front up and span both wheels, the passenger side was fine, but as I spun the drivers side wheel it would spin half way then slow down and basicly stop, as if the brake disc were badly warped or somthing.
I got underneath the car and span the wheel again then realised that the driveshaft was completly locked into a sort of 20 degree angle so that when I spun the wheel a complete 360 degrees it pushed the whole engine towards the passeger side by about 3 inches. The driveshaft was completly shagged so I thought out with the old and in with the new and went and brought a brand new one and fitted it no problems, new gearbox oil blah blah,,

now for the problem, at motorway speeds 50-70mph and under braking from them speeds I get a vibration through the steering wheel and all three pedals, could I have damaged the engine mounts or gearbox mounts by driving it home.
Any help welcomed.

Cheers for the quick replys guys, both of these problems did also cross my mind warped disc and wheel balancing, but this problem didn't exist before the driveshaft went, going to jack it up again and check the rear engine mount for play on the weekend, and go from there, thanks again for the help

If you've shagged the driveshaft then you coulda lost some wheel weights in the process of doing it (going over potholes, raggging it etc) Get the wheels all rebalanced up and if it continues then have a look at the disks

Ok guys I'm bringing up an old thread as I don't want to start a new one, I still have this vibration, I've listened to everybodys comments and this is what I've done so far,, got the wheels balanced, put new wishbones and drop links on about 3-4 months ago, changed all three engine mounts, a new drivers side drivshaft and put new discs and pads on. Still have the same problem as described in the first post, driving me mad!! Any body got any ideas?
