citreon saxo 1.1 desire
my mom has a citroen saxo 1.1 it has dumped all its oil out! from looking at it there is a perfect round hole just above the sump and just below the belt. i just want to know what is suppose to to be in that hole? can anyone help please?

how strange, i've never seen one of those pop out only in a cooling system!! when you fit new one i'd suggest using some strong sealant on it, never even noticed this plug lol

are you sure its only on the cooling? wouldnt water come out not all the oil? its emptyed its self of oil. any idea were i can get one? was gonna try euro car parts?

I should think most car spares shops would be able to get you one. Although I'd probably go to Citroen, that way you know it's the right one and it'll fit and stay in there

i hope it does stay in this time theres a trail of oil all down the road she's lucky it made it home there was no oil left in it lol

dont know there was a pool of oil on the drive the next day and a trail going down the road.thats the only reason i noticed it. i filled it up and started earlier so see were the oil was coming from it started gushing out of that hole straight away thats when i noticed the hole. but it sounded fine tho was running ok just leaking lots of oil from that hole lol

Oh tasty lol, don't start it again 'til you've got that hole plugged and oiled up though, hopefully there's no damage

Yeh they'll know, and I don't think it has lol I've always known them as Frost Plugs... Just explain where it is as I'm not sure if the others on the Engine are a different size. They might even be able to tell you what caused it to fall out, I mean I've never come across one popping out but they might have lol
