Which performance pads and discs?
I'm sorry if this has been asked a million times, but I've tried to search and got hundreds of results, none of what I want.
I have recently fitted a racing pedal box to my Saxo, but this means I am now running the standard Saxo brakes without a servo which are pretty hopeless. Also the current pads are pretty much metal to metal and the discs are very rusty from standing around. This combined with my new 176hp engine makes for a scary drive
I have 15's with a low offset and are very wide so I can't really uprate my calipers and discs without major space issues.
So I was wondering what performance brake pads and discs for standard VTS brakes people rate to get my braking better?
The only ones that come to mind are EBC green stuff, but I've heard nothing but bad stuff about them.

Have you got braided lines?
They will help firm the pedal up
do you have the correct size cylinders on the pedal box with the bias set correctly?
As for disk and pads as you say stay away from greenstuff.
They aint cheap but my favs are pagid rs4 2 blue.
Ill be getting a set for my 406 brembos but they around £200 set but well worth it!

Pads wise I have heard good things about the Ferodo DS2500 and also Mintex 1144s. Either of them will be fine. My mate who races cars a fair bit says not to bother doing rear brakes as in most cases standards will be fine on the rear.
Discs wise I dont have too much knowledge, but I would say just get vented ones as the groved and drilled ones eat pads.

if fitting vented make sure you have the correct calipers!!!!

Unfortunately my project takes it's first drive on sunday so can only report after then

The master cylinders are the correct size, we're setting up the bias tomorrow.
As for braided lines the stiffness of the pedal isn't really a problem, the pedal is very hard, its more the bit of the brakes themselves!
Will check out the ones suggested,

If the pedal is very hard then surely some smaller master cylinders would help?
Anyhow, try some Carbotech XP8's, they're fairly high friction and still work cold. Ds3000 would be a good bet with no servo too.
Just stick some 1144's in the rear - they're cheap as chips from rallydesign.

thats because braided lines only really help when standard ones are knackered.
You need to consider the application of the brakes. Most mentioned above are race pads. Dust and pad squeal are all going to be highly apparent and bloody annoying.
The mintex 1144 is a good fast road pad but unless the car is ultra light, get too hot for heavy trackday use. CL Brake RC5+ work very well as a trackday or race pad, but you often need to get some anti rattle shims/sticky pads as some cars get pad rattle. They dont produce much in the way of dust though, dont squeal and you will boil your brake fluid before the pads fade..
