Default vts breaks

stupid question i know but....

does a vts use the front and back brakes when pressing the break pedal??? my abs light is on aswell but dont no wether this would make any difference

or is there any way of releaseing the pressure on just 1 caliper so it doesnt rub on the disk???

as ive just noticed my rear drivers side pads are now none exsistant so the metal on the pad is grinding on the disc and the predicament im in is that i have to get my car home and to the garage to be fixed. but dont want it to spark and catch the fuel filler pipe.

any help or advice would be much appricated

thanks

think their front bias if am right so the back arent used as much as the front i may be wrong though only saying this cause my back breaks hardly wear down at all and had new front discs and pads changed twice in the time ive had the back, and can't be ote wrong cause i flew through mot other week so am guessing the front is alot more bias
