I am having the exact same problem! Mine only tends to start whining after a few miles of driving, full of fluid too. I was thinking there may be a blockage somewhere?

How much will a new pump set me back?

Edit: Fuuuuuuuuck, only just realised this was a thread from october the 9th 2010! Fml. Dont hate me for bumping an old thread
