Default caliper piston tips please

been doing my mates brakes on his 106, the brake pads were left to get so low that there was no pad left and it was metal on metal. the caliper pistons have came out so far that there still in the calipers but not properly. when trying to press the piston back in it just wobbles very slightly and wont go back in.

can anyone give me some tips to get them back in please
