3 points for an air freshener on interior mirror...
I did not get. But was close to.
Was talking to a mate in my car when a police matey on a bike comes over and says he has seen my car somewhere...
Albiet, its a bright yellow fabia vrs. Quite rememberable...
Anyhoo...
He says he saw my tires were bald so had a look and sure enough, the front passenger side was bold on this inside (tracking on the fabia's is sheet and the fudged steering rack doesnt help)
So he says he will let me of.
He then says "I could give you a £60 fine and 3 points for the air freshener aswell"
What has this law come to? Dont know how bad he thinks my driving or eye sight is but seriously...
Rant over.
On a serious note, why would they sell air fresheners with a stringy bit to hang them if its illegal, also like everycar in the world has 'magic tree' hanging from their interior mirror...
Figures.

Never hang stuff from my mirror as I'm not a middle aged woman, nor do I like things blocking my view

Stuff hanging from your mirror is technically blocking your field of vision and therefore is an offence. I have a mate that works in a taxi test center. He loves nothing more than pulling them red bead and string things that all the asain taxi drivers have off their rear view mirrors and throwing them in the bin. He then ads insult to injury by throwing his bacon butty on top lol.
I do not condone this obviously but it is amusing to see someone so offended over something they know full well they shouldn't do!
So back to the point... yeah a copper can technically do you for not having a proper field of vision but 9/10 coppers aren't THAT anal! YET.
