full HD is 1920x1080 which is the maximum resolution a tv can produce as of yet. Also known as 1080p.

HD ready is usually 1360x768 which means it can only handle up to 720p res.

I would deffo get 1080p(full HD) especially for watching blu-ray movies.

mlawlan69 is on a distinguished road
Default

1080i (i stands for interlaced)

1080p (p stands for progressive)

basically (p) is one solid image being produced at one time (i) is 2 images being "stitched" together, meaning an inferior image clarity

something like this if it makes sense...

yeah, lately plasmas are getting better with screen burn because of pixel shift. My dad got a new plasma type recently but we still noticed some temporary burn in after a few hours of the wii. Which dissapears after a while.

I would go for an lcd or led backlight tv if gaming often and for long periods. If you want the best for gaming look for a tv with as low MS as possible for example 2ms or 4ms is very good. Also look for 100hz.

As above a full HD tv will be 1080p. Hd Ready will state 1080i but is much inferior.
