Default Intermediate driveshaft bearing

here goes .... i have decided to take on the task of putting a new clutch on my mk2 vtr anyhow got the passenger shaft out no problem as i have just changed it but i seem to be stuck on the drivers side. i have roated the 11mm
and should just be able to pull the shaft away but it is stuck quite good. its dark now so i have come in to see if i can get any advice from here. is it a matter of putting a chissle in and trying to slack it off or do i have to have the shaft perfectly straight when pulling it away
