Default Retard question reguarding gearbox/clutch

Ive just been out and bought a new gearbox/clutch. had it fitted today and ive noticed alot more play in my gearstick then normal (had linkages etc replaced about 3 months ago and already asked the guarage who fitted the box to double check) now i can live with the slackness to be honest its not a majour thing.

My main question is.. every now and then going into 2nd and sometimes 3rd i get a little crunch..

Could this be either:

A: This box is abit worse for ware.
B: The clutch needs to wear itself in abit.
C: The slack linkages are causing me to grind slightly
D: i dont know... lol

Only had it changed today, about 2 or 3 hours ago infact..

Ive noticed my linkages hit against my straight through pipe now also so this could also be part of the issue but im broke and dont have a clue how to do them myself becasue im abit retarded when it comes to fiddly things.. or should i just say i dont have patience and will just fuck it up anyway.

Its mainly 2nd gear thats causing the crunch it seems.. im hoping for the love of the prick in the sky i aint bought a duff box and wasted 250quid having it all fitted...
