Bump strips. Updated with Pics.
I've just found out that instead of using back to black etc for your bumpstrips you can use oil.
By accident only yesterday some oil went on my bumpstrip and i rubbed it in for some reason, then tried to wash it off but it wasn't having it.
And now today, that because its soaked in its gone darker than before and as it won't wash off i reckon it'll be permanent.
So there you have it, instead of back to blacking your bump strips everyday just get some regular 10w40 on it.
One with oil on it ..
One without ..
Anyone see the difference ?
If you do try this ..
Becareful applying as i didn't know how much i spilt.

oil and penut butter on your bump strips will help the sun to bleech them and also make them very brittle just use the guide on here on how to do it propperly.

Boiled linseed oil is what I use on my ancient golf, it's outstanding but quite messy & also highly combustible
