Default vtr into westcoats and overevving?

hi i was a member on 106 owners for a while, converted my 1.1 into a gti, that is now gone and i have a westcoast which i just put a vtr engine in, car started first time but was over revving, so i turned off filed with 3 ltrs of oil, filled water up, and now it wont start? its like its trying to start but wont!!! grr, im getting fuel to the fuel rail, dont no bout spark but it was workin just? ive used same ecu and wiring loom from my westcoast and the vtr engine came out of a t reg just like my westcoast? sorry if thats a bit mumbo jumbo

The over-revving could have been something as simple as the throttle cable didn't have enough slack or the ICV wasn't clean? did you check those before chucking the oil and water in?

My mate had the same problem and it was just the ICV

idle control valve i have changed ... thats the one with blue rubber plug? which detects where the butterlfy is?

Get a vtr ECU for a start?

And clean inside where the ICV goes..

lol magnetti marelli 1.4 ecu runs a vtr all day mate? and yea im getting nerw inlet manifold tomoz

u tried resetting icv? turn ignition on and off like 6 times
