Just passed test - first drive alone
I passed my test on Friday and am planning on going out for the first time on my own this afternoon (Mum has been away with the car until today). I am really excited but also a bit nervous. Where did you all go on your first time out after passing? Did it feel weird not having an instructor next to you? Any advise welcome!

Niceone.
Cant remember where I first drove to. Think it was some random drive with my mum.
I remember driving like an absolute div the first few days of driving, not fast or out of control but just not checking mirrors before pulling out and risky stuff like that. I didnt do it on purpose just wasnt into the routine of it.
Just keep aware and check your mirrors before you move

I passed my test in the snow, So as soon as I passed, I went home and bought my insurance and went out to see my mates, A13, M25 then a bit of town driving.
Great fun, I've never found driving nervous or scary

Just take it steady. My first drive was into Nottingham city centre... In heavy traffic.
Was a learning curve lol.

Its the best feeling when you actually use your car for a purpose to get somewhere you have to be at like work. Random drives dont count, but when you use your car for work or whatever it gives a good sense of independence.

Possibilly the best feeling in the world, Using your car for work for the first time and not having to ride your bike in.

i remember my first day on my own.
I woke up atlike 6am that day and it was a school day. Spent a good 40 minutes just driving around it was awesome. Even made a few friends get out of bed so they could see it, was quite funny.

You know I can't remember I think I went to the shops up the road lol, was nervous too, but that show goes, just remember to watch out for other drivers making stupid mistakes!! Like pulling out on you and shit, just keep your wits about you and enjoy I love driving it's the best thing I did, learn to drive

My first drive was to 6th form in the morning. Made all of my mates come in the car for a random drive, my poor 1.1 had no power with 5 people in it.
Took me about a week or so to build up my confidence, after that I was fine

+1, since i passed my test i haven't used my bike to get to work since even though i said to myself i wouldn't use my car to get to work lol.
My first drive was to work, to show off that i had passed ha.
Just go easy mate, don't rush yaself and don't show off in front of your mates thinking now you have passed you can drive like lewis hamilton.
But the feeling of independence is amazing, not having to ask mates/parents for a lift and you can just pick up your keys and go. No better feeling in the world IMO!
