Default A few general Saxo questions

Have just bought my first Saxo, a silver 1999 VTS with 89k on the clock. K&N panel filter, full Magnex stainless exhaust and decat, lowered on GMAX shocks but by how much I'm not sure and black team dynamics pro race 2 wheels with toyo proxes t1r tyres.

I've read a few threads and searches on here but still got a few questions.

I'm generally really happy with it, it's pretty rapid when wound up but I'd like a bit more low to mid range power for those in gear overtakes. Would my current mods make it worth getting the car remapped properly, say with the addition of a better induction kit and a 4 branch manifold? And would a remap with just breathing mods give me any more low down power or would it still remain a peaky engine? If so do I need to look at fitting a set of cams as well?

It's had a recon gearbox fitted recently which is lovely and smooth but the gearstick itself feels rather flimsy and loose. Is this just a case of maybe getting a set of kam racing linkages and a quickshift or is there more underneath that may have worn? I've seen pictures of the big ball and socket linkages people have replaced, what are these called and where might I source them from?

Lastly, the central locking is woefully inadequate even with a new battery. If I'm facing the car at the exact right angle it'll plip from 10-20 feet away, but if not I actually need to stand next to it and point the fob at the receiver by the sunroof. Is there any way to modify this to increase the range or is it something I have to live with?

Apologies if this isn't in the right section but I hope I'm right in assuming it's general enough and I'll get the most replies here. Thanks a lot!
