Arrow Rate The Track's Thread

I think it would be a good idea to rate each track you have been on for beginners and also people wanting to try a new track out.

For example:

Croft (Yorkshire) = In my opinion Novice,Intermediate,Pro

Better for a better handling car, powerful car....

Price, Location etc

All around rating (1=Poor,10=Excellent)

Just an idea lol but thought you lads could share your experience etc

Cheers

My first track sesh was at FCS rockingham in a 110bhp VTR on Toyo T1-R's

Rockingham (Northampton?) = In my opinion Novice/Intermediate

Better for a better handling car

Price £20 if I remember right for one 15min sesh

Location... Didn't really know area etc so can't comment

All around rating (1=Poor,10=Excellent) 9 but might just be because I have nothing to compare it too and it was my first time

I guess the Novice/Inter/Pro is the kind of driver it's suitable for?

Blyton Park (Lincolnshire) = Novice
Mix of faster sections, and slightly more techincal, so ideal for most cars, apart from massively powered cars IMO.

Price = Varies. £80 to £120 for a full day.

Location = Lincolnshire.

Rating = 6/10. Ideal for beginners since there's not a lot to hit, so if you get it wrong, you're fine. Not a bad track at all, but lacks some of the character of more established tracks. Relaxed sound limits too.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Cadwell Park (Lincolnshire) = Intermediate/Pro.
Commonly regarded as the UK's Nurburgring, and with good reason. Everything from really tight twisty sections to a couple of higher speed sweeping sections. Ideal for all cars.

Price = £120 - £180 for a full day.

Location = Lincolnshire.

Rating = 9/10. I, personally, love this track, really demanding, and constantly tests you as a driver. However, get it wrong, and there's not a lot of run off in most places.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rockingham Int'l (Northamptonshire) = Novice/Intermediate.

More suited to higher powered cars IMO, since it makes use of part of the high speed oval, and the infield itself is quite open too.

Price = £20 for 15 min session IIRC (only done show sessions here).

Location - Northamptonshire.

Rating = 5/10. Simply too fast for the cars i've done it in. A fair amount of run off in most places, apart from on the oval.

Brands hatch Indy

Intermediate
Prices: £220 Full days open pit lane £125 evening sessions
Location: Kent

A nice little track for a saxo in my opinion and it has a bit of everything to learn!

Paddock hill can be decieving for first timers as its a fast blind corner which can lead you into the gravel trap. But get it right and you'll feel your car compress as you go down the track and then back up into druids.

The 'straight' isnt too long which makes it good for a saxo, but its not actually a straight and if done right you wont have your wheels facing north

In my opinion its a nice track and the staff are friendly

Rating 9/10

Lydden Hill

Location: Canterbury
Beginner
Prices: £100 6 sessions

Yet again not a bad track for a saxo, but in my opinion its not a track i would want to spend a full day at, quite short and not that challenging.

Rating: 4/10

RAF Cottesmore

Price = £99 with Javelin, full day 9:45-16:45. Open Pit Lane

Rating = Excellent beginner track, some tough corners and some long high speed complex sections. No where to crash and nothing to run into except grass so no problems with trashing your car. Immense grip in the dry, tough on tyres.
