southgate might not be able to hold it... maybe a fairly good captain but i think he'll fall down in a managerial position

Not if Terry vegetables leds a helping hand.
But i do see what you mean most player/managers or ex-players turned managers usually fall at the first hurdle.

Venables isnt helping Southgate....Hes helping McClaren!
Southgate will not be the first manager to go, i can assure you of that, Gibson has gone thru the trouble of getting him there as manager, so theres no way he will ship him out after a season he will be there at least 2 seasons, Gibson will give him a chance to show what hes got and Gibson is the biggest Boro fan and does everything for Boro
OLeary is my favourite to go as well, too much pressure on him, if they dont win the first few games or at least get results he willbe a gonner

tbh, i think there could be alot of pressure on:
Coleman (Fulham) and Olrery (Villa)
i'm afraid though it will be o'leary, loved him as the manager of leeds (close to yorkshire n only yorkshire club in prem at the time) but meh

i think it might be one of the 3 managers that have just been promoted!
Also think wigan will struggle this year, i think last year was a one off for them!

i think wigan will go down, selling good players and not brining in many quality players
as for 1 of the 3 promoted, i dont really think so, the board will br greatful of the manager gaining promotion
hope Sheff United do well, i go sheffield everyday

If T.Vegetables is helping Mclaren then even better. We might have a chance as an International team. Good olde Terry Vegy has been there before!
Im more excited about the players coming to the Premiership
like Shevy, Ballack, Rosicky and Leroy Lita !!! Lol

Im excited to see who else Chelsea buy, still rumours of Carlos, Nesta, Canavaro, going to go and see them this year hopefully, thats if im about when they play up at the riverside
I cant see Coleman being sacked, unless they have an awful start to the season, but dont think Al Fayed will sack him half way thru the season

i think it will be Dowie, won't be able to do the job like Curbishley - don't rate him at all.

Dowie is something different, Charlton for me had just gone stale under Curbishley, he did do a great job to get them where they were, but unfortunately he just couldnt take them further and they were never a serious threat for Europe in my eyes

My bet would be O'Leary or Coleman, more than likely O'Leary.

I reckon O'Leary will be the first to go, had a bad season once again last time round and i don't think this one will be much better.
I reckon Southgate will do well for Boro' if i'm honest.

Roeder for me. Newcastle have no strike force at present, and you can't win without scoring.
