one hell of a mess
My 02 vtr has failed its MOT (twice) because of:
-play in both rear wheels
-rear breaks (discs, pads and one caliper)
-Exhaust noise (one MOT it passed but the current one failed but nothing has changed)
All the above is running up a large bill, is it worth keeping the car or should I just scrap it?
Any advise would be helpful

Exhaust noise?? I've never had a car failed due to the noise coming from the exhaust and believe me, my cars are loud!!
New rear beam, try to get one with calipers, pads and discs included. Job done.
Although I'd scrap it personally.

Play in rear wheels is that bearings or axle? Bearings £50, axle £400ish
