Default Is it worth fixing?

Need a new hub, rust in the boot as you can see from my other thread, rust under ecu and fuse box, needs raised at back poss new rear axle, 2 new rear tyres, new boot and rear window seals and MOT (Poss more if it fails) if it hasn't been lowered right. Car has 141k on the clocks but engine is running fine, bodywork in good condition, no more than normal rust underneath.

So do you'se think it would be worth the time and money fixing?

Thanks

All depends on how much 1.The parts cost to fix it & 2.The labour cost. Then make a decision.

It is worth fixing for the right price imo but If it was my car I would be tempted to go for a lower mileage saxo and break for parts as I'd be thinking what else is gonna go wrong next with that kind of mileage.

Unless you can do all the bits yourself and source parts cheaply i would say time to hand it over to the scrap man unfortunately.

do it mate. you can go out buy a 'decent' low milage one and next year it could have the same problems.

mines got 133k onthe clock and went straight through the m.o.t with 2 advisories
1. rear axel slight play
2. a brake pipe slightly corroded on end.
i decided to cahnge the rear axel and both flexies and brake pipes.

that is after spending out on a respray tho so i weren't about to waste all that money.

if you can do most yourself then go for it .
as the old saying goes. best the devil you know. in other words better to have a car that you know whats been done rarther than one you don't.

i now know mine inside out literally,

got both the seals you looking for aswell

thanks for the reply's guys, I'm not to sure IMO I don't know many people that could help me with the work and its gonna cost me £300 before I can even think about MOT, only problem is I want a fair bit of what I payed back and there doesn't seem to be much interest in the parts over here. I've only been offered between 75-150 for scrap. I don't want to put myself out of pocket either way cause I could fix all the problems and make nothing back or their could be more that I'm yet to know about e.g the engine with the mileage but then if I was to sell it for repairs or break it I will struggle to get anywhere near what I payed for it so I'm in two minds now.

Will still need to get a new front hub then cause it won't be going anywhere on axle stands lol. I've seen a few other saxos with lower mileage but would need a new axle and their younger but I prefare the mk1's but I'd prefare a car that I could do work on/modify with ease that having to fix it all the time.

as above mate. and atm there is not real money in parts. i;m trying to just mak my money back on a mk1 saxo i bought for the axel (took £75 out for the axel to what it cost me) and there is no interest at all in parts. and i thought silver were a popular colour

edit just realised you've gt a silver westcoast mate i can help you out with parts, and cause i want them out of my way they'll be dirt cheap.
