obviously i will put a gti-6 engine in and gearbox....what else will i need to do and how much in £'sss am i looking at??

Gti6 engines and box ar about 500
charger kit get on gmc bout 1500 iirc
oil cooler 130
intercooler (depends what you buy
exhaust + manifold 500+
boost pipes
management + looms 2k for anything decent set up and mapped

Say 6k+ by the time you add up all the little bits and then think brakes ect too

make life easy for yourself +just s/c the std tu5 1.6 egine
2.0gti engine is a big job to fit+ you yes you can have more power ,but no real point as you ahve to be able to get it on the road + 400bhp ina front wheel drive is not really usable except for drag racing

sorry didn,t read it properly --you have a 306 not a saxo

you will still get more than enough with the 1.8 +boost -
but its up to you--
