House fone just rang....i picked it up said hello?

some dude saying 'hi im foning about a corrupt copper in a van, hes just chatting up my bird' just put it down after that cba letting him waffle on anymore, im shattered and off to sleep

had few of these 'recorded' fone calls.
its mainly the pizza guy or some girl i met at a club or usual mumo jumbo...

wouldnt bother with it, just hang up!

Sounds like one of those recorded joke ones. People pay for them and they can listen to your reaction as you listen to the recording.
So, probably your mates pissing around. Tell them about it and see their reactions, say you reported it to the police and its being traced or something.

well sort off my mates where all pissed one night and foned me every minute screaming and chatting shit down the fone, kept me up all night so i just ripped the fone line out
