Default Is this a 1.4 or 1.6?

I know this must sound pretty stupid! but ive just picked up a 2000 X reg Furio, Ive just come from a 106 gti so it does feel slower than that but i cant tell any difference between it and my vtr i used to have. It hits 60 in 2nd to.

I thought the modern VTR engines changed not the other models so the dipstick should still be on the right?

Anyway here's a pic, if it is correct is there any other way to check, if its a 1.4 or 1.6 thanks

posted on here soooo many times but i'll say it again, if a magnet sticks to the block its a 1.6, if it won't then its either a 1.0,1.1 or 1.4 as they are alloy blocks whereas 1.6 is cast iron

only works on saxos though, unless the saxo had the same 1.4 motor as the 106xsi at any point? guess not going by what mandyslover says?

looks like a 1.1 to me... note the restrictor pipe in the air intake... thought that was an insurance friendly addition to the 1.1?
