Default Locks and ignition

Hi,

I need to replace my locks and ignition barrel on my MK 1 VTR as some bellend broke in to my car last night and I was after a bit of advice... Will I be able to buy a replacement and fit it with no trouble, not sure if I need to some something with the ECU?

Will MK 2 locks and barrel fit? Can I use any Saxo locks and barrel?

Cheers

locks should fit fine as for your ecu ull need to get it programmed to the new key but if you order a new set of locks from a dealer they will replace it with your keycode another way is to take your old key to somewhere that sells car keys and they will be able to read the old key and programme the new one if that makes sense

well it costs anywhere from 40 to 90 quid to get your key coded sodepends if the locks are new or old if hes programming your key its not to steep at all .

He's gonna swap all the locks and ECU for £150 so I suppose it's decent price.

Cheers for the help anyway mate.
