Gearbox earth? ECU/fuel pump relay ticking, car wont start

Hi guys

when I try and start my 106 since changing the gearbox, I just get a ticking noise from the ECU area and the starter motor wont engage.

I fear I may have stretched the gearbox earth when taking it off, can anyone tell me what earths on the gearbox so I can chase the wire back through?

car is a 2000 GTi

Afaik it's only the one back to the battery

Sounds like the starter isn't engaging, is the battery fully charged??

As a weak battery can make the starter solenoid tick when you try and start !!!!
