Confused.com! Not starting. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Confused.com! Not starting. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brought a little R reg 1.1 Saxo as a stop gap between cars with starting issue. Car has digi pad immobilizer.
Previous owner said they never used the digi pad and didn’t know the code, one day the car stopped and would not start he tried changing the ignition barrel but no luck at the same point the security pad stated working but he had no code!
Whilst fault finding I located the code under the digi pad panel, light goes from red to green when entered.
Car turns over but no spark.
Interior Fan not working.
Coil pack swapped for working unit .
Fuses checked.
Relay under ECU swapped for working unit.
Engine management light on.
Ignition barrel bypassed
I am bloody confused and unsure what to do next!
Cheers in advance Lee

It won't start because of the immobiliser. chances are it worked beforehand because the connector was loose, so essentially they had unlocked the ecu. but for whatever reason now its started working again. you NEED the code, either that or a new immobiliser and ecu paired together.

I found the code in the car light goes from red to green when entered so guessing its the correct code, iam thinking something to do with the engine mang light.

Is the orange immobilizer light on the dash?
If it was me in that situation.. I'd rip all the immobilizer shite out.. and send the ECU off to be unlocked..
Cost me £55, But got the ecu back the day after i sent it.

sorry didn't notice that in original post
check sparkplugs, also check for spark by putting plugs into pack/leads and earthing (eg to bonnet), can you hear fuel pump prime?
