Default Flashing light on dash

My 1998 VTS ignition light flashes when i try to start the car,What is the best way to cure this problem.I believe it is the transponder in the steering wheel

Hi thanks for your info but I dont have a key pad,I did on my previous 1997 vts.Also the car does not start until the light stops flashing

doesnt it mean its lost its key code? get the ecu unlocked?

Search for a thread in the stickies about unlocking your ecu

There is a black box behind the dash to remove when engine is running
