Same over here. I generally always have enough signal to make calls and texts but never a 3g signal, pretty useless!

Went over to my mates the other day, were all on vodafone and its like a black hole, Shows signal but wont let you do anything with it!

Yeah I'll be a really low signal but still there however it says no service. If you manually search it will bring up Vodafone UK. Very weird but I've not registered the fault with them tbh

I posted this up last week, apparently they're merging with someone

So outages in diff areas must be periodically happening with the switchover

I've been having this issues on Three with my blackberry.

Basically, it'll show signal, then you do something 3G, it'll start doing it / load just one web page, then the 3G will drop and won't come back. I tried everything, numerous phonecalls to three, re-installed phone software.

Ended up getting a new SIM, it's been fine since, they get old and worn out.

However, you may find that you've all just got Apps running in the background, google maps is a fecker for supping your net. If blackberry then install Quickpull, if android then AppKill

Funny that this has suddenly happened, the front covers of last weeks papers, the Guardian, i news and the independent all had a massive vodashit advertisement print claiming it had won phone company of the year...

Hey get this right, I live in Newbury which is where the Vodafone HQ is based..Yet you go to some places thats no more than say 3 miles from it and the signal can be absolute shit! Makes no sense to me! Would have thought we would have brilliant signal but nope. Im lucky if my phone internet even runs at 3G most of the time!
