Leak in driver footwell
Anyone,
Had a leak in my driver's side footwell for a while now and tried to distinguish where it is coming from.
Any ideas where it could be from?
The leak appears to be dripping from underneath the dashboard, directly above the peddles behind the fireproofing.
Underneath the skuttle (?) board below the windscreen we found a mesh filter thing that could lead inside, any ideas what this could be?
Cheers

I think I've checked the sunroof drains correctly, I poked lagging wire down there to ensure they were cleared and had the drain holes cleared so they weren't clogged with leaves or something :/

hmmm....I'm afraid when I had the leak you described that was what solved it.
Someone else will have to jump in.

Are the sunroof drain holes located when you open the sunroof, just in each corner, a tunnel that runs parallel with the A pillars?

Its not unknown for the windscreen seal itself to leak, especially if its been replaced at some stage, and not very well. Water would certainly be appearing where you say it is.
If the sunroof is the culprit the water tends to run down the a pillars rather than behind the dash!

Yeah I was just hoping to eliminate some stuff before jumping to the windscreen re-seal, but i might just have to do that:/

The saxo we got to do our Rallycross build had this problem.
I would put it down to the windscreen or the heater matrix leaking.

mine dose the same its not the sun roof its your drivers door its he seal i found this out when i sprayed my car with jet wash to find it and it pissed in through my door if your sunroof leaks it drips when you break and go round coners it normally builds up in the black thing near the sun roof winder ps if water leaked throuh the sun roof and into your foot well it would build up in your seat not foot well you would find your seat would be wet first hope it helps

Sounds like the windscreen could be the problem.

Surely if it was the windscreen it would leak onto the top of the dash?

its not the windowscreen at all , and its not the drain plugs in the sunroof its the door seal if the sunroof is blocked it will drip on your seat and get your seat piss wet through not the floor common sense tbh spray your door with a hosepipe for a couple of mins i can tell you now its the door
