Newbie looking to buy 1.5D soon..!

Hi everyone,

I'm really looking forward to becoming an established member of this excellent forum.
I currently own a diesel Freelander (which my wife drives) and drive a company Hyundai iX35CRDi (great 4x4!). I will be leaving my job soon so unfortunately the car will have to be returned . I once owned a Xsara 2.0HDi which was very economical, but I now want something a little smaller, i.e. a Saxo diesel.
I would really appreciate some guidance on things to look out for when buying, and maybe some history on the diesel variants..?
