Default No Power going to amp!!!

I have recently bought a 800w amp and sub.

However, I wired the amp to the remote, battery and ground but there is no power light coming on and it does not work.

I have checked all the fuses and they are fine, and the connections couldnt get better.

Have I got a dodgy amp or does anyone have any ideas???

The ground is connect to the metal underneath the mat in the boot. I have sanded down the paint so it is pure metal.

I have connected the blue wire to the remote and red wire direct to the battery. The brown wire is connected to the car. I have checked all fuses but I will test the power from the remote and battery.

Thanks for all your help
