Mk1 exhaust on a mk2

Just to double check before i go buying anything,

Recently bought a Mot failure 03 plate VTR and the emissions has cropped up.
It has a toyosport 4-2-1 so obviously has no cat in the exhaust.

So will a standard exhaust off a Furio/mk1 vtr with the under body cat go straight on and fit right?

Its easier to change the exhaust over rather than the manifold for every MOT!
