Default Light next to engine light on dials

the light next to the engine light where the dials are seems to flash more than normal when i put my key in and turn i used to happen when i first got the car i thought it was oil related wasnt sure but when the car was serviced oil seals were renewed and it seemed to stop but its started happening again anyone know what it is? cheers

If it flashes for 10 seconds and then stops- check your oil level.
(How did the MOT go?)

thats what i thought but oil level should be ok if all seals are new and the oil was renewed surely? mot passed in the end thank god

it does pay to check your oil every couple of wks, even if it has just been serviced, never know but you might be burning oil

fair point ill go give it a check see how it is i drove it earlier and it didnt do it maybe theres a faulty sensor or something?
