Shannon-ob's 53 Black VTR. Overdue update.
Hello everyone!
As some of you may know, my old Mauritius blue 16v VTR died.
So I was on the look out for a new car (had to be a Saxo, and had to be black)
after a few days of looking. I found one. It had an awesome spec!
It was a 2003 53 plate Black VTR
It had 43,445 miles
Full air bag interior
ABS all round
Lowered 40mm
No tax or MOT though
But for a bargain of a price £600
So I got the missus to kindly drive me to Surrey to go have a look at it.
When I got there it looked amazing Had a look around it and no rust what so ever. Took it for a drive around a private sorta housing estate and it drove so good!
I had to have it.
Yes, a few things will be changed... Exhaust

M.O.T time!
So I got it home and was time for the M.O.T. I knew it was going to fail. Due to the ABS light being on when I bought it.
But I took it in anyway to make sure there wasn't anything else that would need doing. Unlike so other Saxo's I know it had a very small failure list 5 things to be exact.
Those things were;
Anti-Lock braking system warning lamp indicates an ABS fault
Offside rear fog lamp not working
Offside rear shock absorber has an excessively worn bush (no bush at all to be honest.)
Battery insecure
Nearside inner front CV joint gaiter split.
Obviously some of these things are quick and easy, like putting a new bulb in, swapping battery from old car (one in this is too big) Lucky the chap gave me the standard shocks with the car so that will be a quick swap.
Whilst I was at the garage I got the M.O.T tester to plug in to the car to find out what was causing the ABS light to be on. It came back saying no readings at all from nearside front and rear sensors so they have been ordered.
The CV gaiter was cheap but by no means quick as it's the inner one

Yeah I know I have a 4-2-1 and my supersprint to put back on
Just means I have to get a new bumper at some point as there is now a cut out for the other tip.

I've also got an ECU cover on No picture yet though but I'm sure you can all imagine what it'll look like.

Plans.
The plans are as follows;
Make a set of number plates at work (just to clean it up for now, pressed ones will be put on)
Put my 4-2-1 and supersprint system on
Put my audio set up in from old car
Put my half leather interior in from old car
BBS's From old car to go on.
New rocker cover
My battery cover to go on
De-wiper and fit stalk.
Omp steering wheel to go on
Upper and lower braces to go back on (unsure whether to fit lower again)
Black a b c pillars to go back on
Unsure whether to put s2 rallye carpet back in?
Buy a citroen badge for the boot.
Put my depos in
Maybe put my smoked jewels in
Put the standard grill on as meshed one is not in properly
I think this is everything at the moment!
