mk1 and mk2 vts de-cat pipes?

i've gat a 2000 mk2 vts and as most will be aware 2000 was when the mk2 came into production. However, most places list the mk2 as bein 2001 onwards.

lookin at a magnex cat replacement they're 2 different part numbers- one for 96-00 and one for 01-onwards!

i assume that "01-onwards" is mk2 and my 00 model would fall into this bracket but am not 100% sure.

i may just be havin a blonde day. but can anyone clear this up for me?

The shape is the same but pre 2001 have no lambda hole and 2001 onwards have a hole
