Default VTR running a manual steering rack?

If I convert my vtr to a manual type rack what would it be like? For example is it going to be very heavy to steer and has anyone else done it? As far as I'm aware all that's needed is the rack and steering column ?

Thanks as always

I'd imagine it would feel like the old 1.1's, I had one as my first car and it wasn't actually that heavy

Driving is perfectly fine... Manouvering is not fun... The 1.1 is a lighter engine and skinier tyres... Easy to turn... Vtr for road use... If you really want but me personally... I couldnt live with it....

If you don't dry steer then you really don't have that much of a issue.
