Default Painting engine bay?

Had a search to look for a guide but nothing came up. Just looking for some recommendations for paint to use for cleaning up the ECU tray and Battery tray in my engine bay. Like most Saxo's they have started to rust.... Hammerite?

I need something that is quick drying as I cant afford to be without my car for more than a day, anything to look out for whilst doing it?

In an ideal world, have them blasted and powdercoated or similar. But realistically for you yeah use a drill or a grinder with wire wheel to clean up the rusty parts back to bare metal and you could use hammerite if you wanted to. Obviously the finish wont be as good but will look better than rust!

Check your inner wings under the ecu and under the fuse box on passenger side for rust whilst you're at it. Common place to go.

Perfect just the answer I was looking for. I may use some etch primer and then some black or even silver paint with lacquer to get a better finish as you say, just takes longer thats all

Quickest thing to dry would be cellouse spray paint from
A can.
For example satin/gloss black.
Or even 5 wheel silver.
No need for laquor as they are top coats not base coats.
Can dry them quickly with a heat gun also.
