Default Interior lights not working.

Neither of my interior lights (boot as well) work. I have checked the fuse. It would ocasionally flicker on when I got the car. Any help appreciated.

Have you checked the buttons? The ones that pop out when you open the boot that turns them on? Bad connection somewhere?

To be honest no, never thought of it. I dont even no where the buttton is in the boot. I will have a look. Would this effect the light inside the car though ?
There must be a bad connection some where but dont know where. There is a clicking coming from the drivers foot well. I thought it was a relay but I have changed them and all and it has not stopped.

Turns out I have knocked the boot button off at some point lol but would this effect the doors turning the interior light on and off ?

Not the interior ones, is this fixed yet or not? There's a button by the door hinges, piss them. It's the bulb gone? Checked the correct fuses?

Have you checked the button that causes the interior light to come on,when you open the door?

You could remove and check the block connector that comes from the interior light and inspect it,check the connections and maybe give them a wee spray of wd40.

You say the light use to flicker on and off so chances are what's causing it has progressively got worse,so a dodgy connection at the connector is a possibility.

If I have the doors open and have the headlights on I can stop the warning sound by pressing the buttons in. So they are connected on both sides.
I need to go the scrappy to get a new button for the boot to see if that sorts that bit out. Until then I am going to have a look and see if the connectors on the boot light and interior light are the same so I can test if it is the interior light that is faulty.
If that does not work, I am going to have to look at the wire down the A pillar.

It will be light nights again by the time I get this sorted lol
