Default Drums on a disc axle

I have been offered a vtr recon axle and I was wondering if it is possible to just undo the 4 bolts holding the brake disc gubbins on and put my drum brakes on for my 1.1 as I don't really need/want discs on the back? is everything the same size across the axles (including the torsion bars etc?)

Need to get my car on the road while I rebuild my old axle

You need to replace the whole beam. You will also need the bias valve and have the brake lines ran. I think the disk beam is 10mm wider in total
