Speeding - likely outcome?
Ok, well firstly I'm not looking a lecture, know all the do's and don't's etc.
If in the overtaking lane of a dual carriageway and doing max 90, likely a bit less, what would expect to be outcome? 3 points and fine, or court etc. Didn't see the big dirty camera van until late

3 points and a fine as above..normally have to be 100 or more before court on a national speed limit..just depends on the circumstances..if you were driving like a knob you may get reported for careless/wreckless driving also
i got caught doing 96 and got 3 points and a fine

This tbh. I obviously never speed (ahem) but generally keep to under the tonne on the motorway just incase there's a man in a van around the corner waiting to take a picture.
You said you only had the car for a day or so - I presume it's not registered to you then? If it is, wait 14 days and if nothing comes through, you should be ok - the camera may not been have been running - unlikely admittedly but fingers crossed n 'all that

Heh I wasn't suggesting getting out of it mate - pretty hard to these days tbf... just wondering. At least it's someone close to you - not like a company car or anything so you're bosses will find out lol.
They're bloody sneaky - I remember coming back from my sort of ex-girlfriends place on New Years Day one year and there was some knobhead in a van out in force parked at the side of the road...

New rule then leeh?
When I could done, I was doing 24 over the limit, 3 points, and 60 fine
Also, I though in Ireland, Speeding was speeding, you could do as fast over the limit, or little over the limit, and it's still 3 point and a 100euro

Hope not, I just got busted by some traffic cops doing 70 in a 50.
Overtook a car getting on to the slip road of the M1 at 70, I slowed down to 50 just before I got onto the M1 as there was road works.
Got pulled afterwards, annoying as fuck as I saw the copper, who distracted my attention away from the gret big fucks off '50mph' sign that I unknowingly drove past and sensibly adhered to what I thought was the speed limit on the slip road. (Ultimate Fail)
Oh well, wait and see what they send me thru the post I guess.

every copper must have different laws because i got caught 2 yrs ago doing 93 on m1 and received 5 pts, cant remember fine.
he told me, if i was doing 1mph more it would have been an instant ban.
