my saxo vtr is fitted with the dial pad immobiliser, and the other morning when i went to start it up to go to work, normally i turn key in the ignition the flashing red light on the pad goes to red and then dieal my number is then it goes gree and car starts. but for some reason i turned key and light continued to flash? so tried again and still it flashed, so got out the car locked it unlocked it and did everything i could think of but still it didnt work so in the end gave up. i spoke to a few mechanic mates and they suggested i disconect battery and drain ne energy in system and retry it but was still the same?so i rung citroen up and they said they had never heard of ne thing like it b4 and that i needed a new immobiliser fitted which was an expensive job ( thanx for that)! so i tried few other people i know who know little about them and 1 friend suggested i could change the ECU for that of 1 off an AX GTI as its same ECU but doesnt have immobiliser? dunno how true that is. i decided to go and test all fuses and check for ne loose connections and couldnt find any then tried it 1 last time and it started first time?! i didnt know if ne 1 else had suffered from immobilisers bein tempremental?
