Question Plastic Dip Stick End Broken Off?

Checked the oil this morning before taking the mrs to work, as put the dipstick back in i heard a click...the plastic end in the dipstick has broken off. What do you suggest, just leave it in there or is it a take the sump off job?
Thanks
Rob

Thumbs up

Its the oil end that has broken off, i dont know if the bit of plastic has gone down in the sump. I think it should be o.k. to use it, will have to get a new dipstick. Will drop the sump off in a couple of weeks...silly design, looks like the plastic has gone brittle.

It's going to jam in a big end and spin a bearing

Best off whipping your sump off and looking for the part.
