I also have a 97 VTS and I installed mine almost two years ago. I got it along with a WRC ram air induction kit and both of them along with my SuperSprint center and back box got me an awesome power jolt. About 8 sec to 100km and 230km max speed.

I think I got instant power and when I say instant I should include a photo of my front Potenza's and the way they lost their thred. Everytime I pressed the gas a little bit more...I got a spin.

If you wanna buy it buy a ram air kit and get it set on a rolling road...I live in a shithole like Macedonia and the rolling road is just a word I read on the net.

More POWER to us!

Alex

I have an FSE too, but thats as im needing a fair bit more pressure due to the turbo...

Be aware that the FSE doesnt appear to give consistent fuel pressure like the std regulators do... this could also be a factor in your juddering problem Alex?

Alex, did you make a typo? If not, there's something wrong with your car...

The VTS does 0-62mph (100kph) in 7.7secs. So at about eight seconds, there's either no difference at all with all your mods, or it's actually slower than it should be - although your top speed is higher.

The stated time of 7.7 seconds or whatever isn't what you are really gonna get out of a car. That time is recorded by a proffessional driver thrashing the car to its limits to get the best time. You would never be able to get close at standard. So matching it shows an improvement in speed.

Check your car's listed 0-60 and se if you can match it

enbwo paul evans managed a 6.9 and a 6.7 in his standard stripped vts, though it had a full cage making weigh around the same. Timed with professional timing gear

if it's stripped then it isn't standard so that would make a difference

Guys, Guys and Girl,

We never get the specs the factory sells us. i think that you need the perfect conditions, driver, fuel and lots more to get to that....with a standard car.

My 230kmph is is as accurate as my speedo...even though I did that with the standard 185/55-14 tyres. I know of a race on the highway where a VTS (now a former VTS) did a flat 250kmph which was measured with a Alfa 156 GTA. The VTS had only minor things done and was chiped...dont ask me how he did that.

I just put a set of Brock B2 Supercup SLC Chrome and some 195/45-15 SP9000's...the car drives like is glued to the pavement. I have to check my specs though...

and yes....Simo!

Te constand fuel pressure from my FSE I can get if I take of the vacuum line from the top. Is that what you mean?

I also am thinking what to do with the OEM regulator. It is not connected to anyting and I dunno if that screws up something. The vacuum line goes from the intake manifold to the FSE. I think that I should get a T conector and bridge the vacuum to both FSE and OEM regulators.

What do you guys think? How are your FSE's conected?
