Tutorial - Removing key from fuel cap
This has been asked soo many times that I thought I'd make a little tutorial for people to follow in the future instead of asking it over and over again
If you want to put an aftermarket fuelcap on your car, you may be confused by the fact that you can't actually remove the key from your standard fuel cap which may be a problem if you only have one of them
However, don't throw out your aftermarket one just yet. You can still get it out!
1 - Turn you fuel cap over so that you can see the insides of it.
2 - On the inside of your fuel cap, you will see 4 white plastic nibs. Two of them rotate when you turn the key and two of them are fixed. Turn the key clockwise so that they are all furthest away from eachother.
3 - Find a blunt and flat knife.
4 - Insert the knife into the gap under one of the nibs that rotate.
5 - Lever the knife upwards, slightly seperating the upper white plastic section and the lower white plastic section.
6 - With the knife still levering the two sections apart, turn the key clockwise again and you will notice that it will turn slightly further than before.
7 - Now pull the key out. Job done

Nice guide, do you have any tips on how to not break your key whilst using the much more satisfying technique 'smash the cap to bits with a hammer'
Or the more amusing, loitre in you local petrol station, cap in hand, untill another saxo comes along to fill up. Just as they go to replace the pump slap you cap in there car and peg it!
