hi,

question about removing your steering wheel with airbag.
I've got a copy of the Haynes book and in the book it says that if you remove your airbag and put a 5a fuse in the connector with some wire, you can trick the system.
I tried this a few days ago, because i want to place a new momo wheel, but the airbag light stayed on. Tried different fuses but no go.
Does anyone have any expereience with this???

iv heard what you have to do is remove the clocks and either tak the bulb out that lights up the airbag light, or you can put black electrical tape around it to stop the light shining through.
I've never done it like, but it might work.

yeah.....i've seen that too. But when i read that you could trick the system and that way leave the rest to work, than that would be the best option I've just never heard anyone trying it.........maybe a fuse isn't it but a small electric resistance of some kind??

just ring an auto electrician and see if they can offer some advice or something. Better been safe than pissing about with car electrics, you dont wanna go blow everything up.

Been at the dealer's yesterday and they told me that a 2Ohm resistance should do the trick. Gonna try it this weekend then
