17's on but only rubbing on the back.
lol okay this was rather funny. i got my 17's yer we did the axle conversion to 4 stud which if i must add took all day.. once that was done i plonked on my 17's lol i reversed it off the lift and it osunded fine when we lowered it which was lowered 40mm it looked like it didnt rub at all..
as soon as i drove it down teh street i found out. the driveshaft on one of the front struts was fucked to pieces which made the steering like completely ficked up. thenall i can hear at the back left side is Scrappeee scrapppee on my brand new tyres.. strange thing is though my front alloys 17" do not rub at all and i had to do no arch work at all. the back rubs a tiny bit but only when i go over pot holes and its only on the left side and i felt it and theres sharp piece of metal sticking out which i think is the culpret (part of Bumper bracket!) on the straight its perfect and i know whats causing it problems its the bumper brackets.. so all in all they went on not very well lol
ah well guess whos cgunna be taking his brackets off on monday.. lol

Im pretty sure you knew yourself 17s would require a bit of arch alteration to
fit. Im just hoping people dont start slating you over it etc etc.
Most your threads lately have ended in tears or being locked.

Then this could end in tears..
it is pretty common sense that 17s wont just fit.

Well no offence mate but the thread title and your first post are misleading.
You mention 17s without arch mods then go on to talk about a damaged
driveshaft.

my 17's dont scrub too much either
front ones do catch on full-lock though but not too bad, just scrape-y noises, no bad damage + i dont ever use full-lock really
Back tyres take some abuse, but so far ive had the same tyres since i got them (Over a year ago) and theres no damage
even with a full car
sorteeeed
