Default ceramic/stainless steel??

on euro car parts there is two types of cat convertor for a mk2 saxo vtr a ceramic n stainless steel wots the difference can ne1 av a goose or tell me please as i need a new one. The price is an obvious thing i need something that gna last tho. Thanx guys n gals

most cars are fitted with a ceramic one from factory as they are less expensive, and, by their very nature WILL need replacing. the stainless one will be more robust and a little more expensive.

My money would go on the stainless one as it's going to last longer.
