Default Central Locking or Unit

My central locking has never had a problem until now was cleaing the door sills with wipes didnt go anywhere near electrics etc and all of a sudden my entire central locking system went crazy locking unlocking then stayed normal then locked unlocked and did this for about 20 seconds, in the end i have removed door cables and boot cables to the central locking unit, could batteries going dead in fob cause this? I tried before disconnecting all cables unlocking then ran 30 m's down the road with keys in hand and my buddy stayed by car and it did it again.

get the door cards off, wd40 all the locking mechs and the connections into the central locking units. Then lock and unlock the latches by hand to get them loose. Worked for me
